Refreshing Green Cocktail ft. Uop Sa Noung

Looking for a vibrant and refreshing drink to enjoy on St. Patrick's Day, as the weather warms up, or simply to elevate your cocktail game? This Green Cocktail, featuring Kopi Thyme’s Uop Sa Noung, is a delightful, citrusy, and lightly spiced beverage that’s perfect for any occasion. With a balance of ginger, lime, cucumber, and effervescence from ginger beer or sparkling lemonade, this drink is as invigorating as it is flavorful.

Whether you prefer a non-alcoholic mocktail or a boozy twist with tequila or rum, this easy-to-make drink will quickly become a favorite for parties, gatherings, or solo refreshment.

INGREDIENTS

Cocktail:

  • Ice
  • 2-3 tbsp Kopi Thyme’s Uop Sa Noung (lemongrass-infused sauce with aromatic spices)
  • ½ inch fresh ginger, thinly sliced or muddled
  • 1 whole cucumber (peeled lengthwise into ribbons for garnish)
  • 2-3 tbsp fresh lime or lemon juice (adjust to taste)
  • 850mL ginger beer, ginger ale, or sparkling lemonade

Optional Alcohol Additions:

  • 2-3 oz tequila (for a zesty, bold flavour) or
  • 2-3 oz white rum (for a smooth tropical touch)

Garnish:

  • Fresh lime and lemon slices
  • Additional cucumber ribbons

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. In two highball glasses, place some cucumber ribbons and fill with ice.  
  2. In a cocktail shaker, add in ice, ginger, lime juice, *alcohol of choice and Uop Sa Noung. Shake 8-10 seconds. Then strain into two iced highball glasses. 
  3. Top with ginger ale or ginger beer or sparkling water. Garnish with a lemon or lime slice.
