- ½ cup Crushed crackers or Panko or Bread crumbs (use gluten free options if needed as a binder)
- ½ Egg, beaten
Meatless Burger Patties (Plant-Based Option):
- 550g canned beans mixed, mashed (toast beans first for a firmer texture!)
- 3½ tbsp Kopi Thyme's Kam Heong
- ½ cup mushroom, diced into 1 cm pieces
- 1 tbsp green onion, chopped
- 2 tbsp cabbage, chopped
- 2 tbsp carrot, chopped
- 3 tbsp Crushed crackers or Panko or Bread crumbs (gluten-free if needed)
- 3 tbsp flax eggs, (whisk 2 tbsp flaxseed meal with 6 tbsp water; let sit for 15 min to thicken).

1️⃣ Prepare the Patties
🔹 For Meat-Based Patties:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, Kam Heong sauce, salt, breadcrumbs, and egg.
- Mix by hand until just combined—don’t overmix, or the patties will be dense!
🔹 For Plant-Based Patties:
- In a large bowl or food processor, combine mashed beans, Kam Heong sauce, salt, breadcrumbs, mushrooms, cabbage, green onions, carrot, and flax egg.
- Pulse or mash until smooth and well-mixed.

2️⃣ Shape & Chill
- Divide the mixture into 4 thick patties (or 6 thin patties for smash burgers).
- Place on a wax paper or foil-lined baking sheet.
